Your wedding inbox
A real mailbox at your own address, shared with your planner.
Using it is using a mailbox, so this is mostly about the two things that are not obvious.
- Give the address out. It is at the top of the screen, behind the i beside the heading — your venue, your florist, your photographer.
- Open a thread to read it. Opening is what reading it means, so nothing has to be marked.
- Reply goes back from the wedding address, not from either of your personal ones. Attachments are welcome — a contract can go out the way it came in.
- Press Write a message — the pencil, bottom right on a phone — to start a new one.
- File what is dealt with. Archive keeps it and takes it out of the way; Bin is a folder, not a shredder, and Restore brings anything back.
- On a phone, swipe a row to the left and Archive and Bin appear behind it, so a thread can be filed without opening it.
Both of you and your planner read the same mailbox. That is the point of it — nothing important sits unread in one person's personal account while the other assumes it was answered.
A real mailbox
Every wedding gets its own email address, and the Inbox is where that post arrives — threaded, with the guest or supplier it came from named where we know them.
It is an ordinary mailbox, so there is nothing to learn: read, reply, forward, archive, bin, mark as spam. Both partners and your planner read the same one, which is the point — nothing sits unread in one person's personal account.
Questions from guests
If your site has the Questions section switched on, a guest can ask you something from it. It arrives here as ordinary post, and you are emailed to say so — because a question about parking sitting unread in a portal nobody has opened is the same as no question at all.
Replying to it goes back to them by email, like any other message.
